Colour corrections can be best described as a hair appointment that requires a longer than usual appointment to either fix a hair colour or for a drastic change in your existing hair colour. A consultation is recommended beforehand so we can book time appropriately.

A toner is a colour that is applied to refresh and rebalance the colour, (removing brassy or yellow tones).

An all-over colour is a one solid colour from root to end. We colour your hair either darker or the same colour as previous. If you are looking for a lighter colour, you may want to book balayage or highlights.

Highlighting is a technique used to lighten the hair, using foils in a systemized pattern to give desired amount of blonde and lightness. Can be done as partial head, full head, root touch-up or face-framing/contouring.

Similar to the highlighting technique, but instead lowlights are used to darken hair strands. Used to either darken the over-all look or to add some dimension/contrast.

Balayage is a freehand hair painting technique used to lighten strands throughout mid length and ends to give more of a natural or sun-kissed look to your hair. This technique allows more of a softer and gradual blend to your existing colour allowing an easier grow out.

After highlighting hair, we can give the hair a “shadow root” with colour to soften any harshness at the scalp to allow a softer grow out.

A Global bleach-out is when all the hairs on your head are lightened to your desired blonde giving you the ‘full’ blonde look. 

A service in which we are colouring only the regrowth from 1-2 inches off the scalp. This could be a highlight touch-up or a solid colour touch-up, (grey coverage).

We recommend 6 to 8 weeks for grey coverage or routine touch-ups, whether it be a root colour or highlights.

Balayage touch-ups can vary between 2 to 4 months.

A toner can be done in between scheduled appointments to maintain desired colour.

Global bleach-outs should be touched up every 4 to 6 weeks to avoid ‘banding’.
